The garden level of the house, and the only apartment you can walk into from the garden without meeting a stair. Two bedrooms, a kitchen that opens onto the sitting room, and a door onto the terrace that people leave open from May until October.
Who the garden apartment suits
Anyone who would rather not meet a stair inside the apartment, and anyone travelling with a great deal of luggage.

- One room, about twenty-two feet by fourteen, with the kitchen along the back wall and a table that seats four. The door to the terrace is here.
- Bedroom one
- A double bed, a wardrobe, and a window onto the garden. Blackout blinds, because the garden level gets the morning.
- Bedroom two
- Two single beds that can be pushed together, and a chest of drawers. It is the smaller room.
- Bathroom
- A bath with a shower over it, a heated rail, and a window. There is no second lavatory.

- A washing machine, shared with nobody — it is inside the apartment
- Bed linen, towels, and a starter set of coffee, tea, salt, pepper and oil
- Wired and wireless internet, and a desk that a laptop and a second screen will fit on
- Direct access to the garden and the terrace table
Worth knowing first
- It is below the parlour floor, so the light is garden light rather than street light — good in July, dim in December
- The window onto the terrace means the garden is audible from the sitting room whenever anybody is using it

An apartment is not the house. An apartment booking is a private apartment, not a private house: the other two apartments may be let on the same nights, and the garden, the stoop and the stair are shared. The whole-house let is the one that takes the building off sale.
